The Val Formazza ( Walser : Pomattertal ) is a valley in the Lepontine Alps , in the Piedmontese Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola , Italy. Bordering Switzerland, it represents the northernmost part of Val d'Ossola and Piedmont .
