The Unclaimed Baggage Center is a retail store located in Scottsboro Alabama that sells items from lost or unclaimed airline luggage. Founded in 1970, it is the only store of its kind in the United States. It has received national attention, including mentions on The Oprah Winfrey Show , Late Night with David Letterman , Fox News and the Today show. Over a million customers visit the 50,000-square-foot (4,600 m) store each year to browse through some of the 7,000 items added each day. Most items are sold for a discount of 20–80%.
