Obersaxen ( Romansh : Sursaissa ) is a former municipality in the district of Surselva in the Swiss canton of Graubünden . On 1 January 2016 the former municipalities of Obersaxen and Mundaun merged to form the new municipality of Obersaxen Mundaun .
