Vertiskos ( Greek : Βερτίσκος ), known before 1927 as Berovo (Μπέροβο), is a village a community and a former municipality in the Thessaloniki regional unit , Greece . Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Lagkadas , of which it is a municipal unit. The 2021 census recorded 279 people in the community and 1,644 people in the municipal unit of Vertiskos. The community of Vertiskos covers an area of 46.629 km while the respective municipal unit covers an area of 196.613 km.
