Vereshchaginsky District ( Russian : Вереща́гинский райо́н ) is an administrative district ( raion ) of Perm Krai , Russia ; one of the thirty-three districts in the krai . Municipally , it is incorporated as Vereshchaginsky Municipal District . It is located in the west of the krai,with an area of 1,621 square kilometers (626 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Vereshchagino . Population: 41,379 ( 2010 Census ) ; 43,958 ( 2002 Census ) ; 46,714 ( 1989 Soviet census ) . The population of Vereshchagino accounts for 53.5% of the district's total population.
