The Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region (often abbreviated as SNNPR ; Amharic : የደቡብ ብሔር ብሔረሰቦችና ሕዝቦች ክልል , romanized :  Yädäbub Bḥer Bḥeräsäbočna Hzboč Kllə ) was a regional state in southwestern Ethiopia .
