63-520: The SENS brand ( Samsung Electronics Notebook System ) started in 1995, a year after Samsung laptop business started with the SPC5800/5900 series in 1994 which initially had a 486 processor and later Pentium 75 MHz. In 2001 the three-digit model name was replaced by a new lettered series: A, T, P, Q, V. The A series was equipped with a low-cost AMD Athlon processor. The M30 and M35 came with equipped JBL speakers. The first Intel Centrino platform computer

126-512: A PC card , laptop card, USB equipment, or mobile broadband modem , to connect their PC or laptop to the Internet via cell phone towers . This type of connection would be stable in almost any area that could also receive a strong cell phone connection. These connections can cost more for portable convenience as well as having speed limitations in all but urban environments. On June 2, 2010, after months of discussion, AT&T became

189-428: A scheduling algorithm for which the subscriber station needs to compete only once for initial entry into the network. After network entry is allowed, the subscriber station is allocated an access slot by the base station. The time slot can enlarge and contract, but remains assigned to the subscriber station, which means that other subscribers cannot use it. In addition to being stable under overload and over-subscription,

252-448: A 13.3" display. Samsung Notebook M is a budget entry-level ultrabook. It runs Windows 10 S . Samsung Notebook Odyssey is a 17.3-inch/15.6-inch gaming laptop introduced in 2017 featuring an NVIDIA GTX 1050 graphics chip. A second generation was released in 2019 with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20-series GPU. Replacing Samsung Notebook 5, Samsung Notebook Plus was launched in 2020 as a basic 15" display laptop. A second generation Notebook Plus2

315-420: A 15 inch screen, 4GB memory, 500GB storage, and shipped with Windows 7. The first generation Samsung Series 3 (model no. NP300E5A) was released in 2011. Its central processing unit is an Intel Core i3-2330M Processor with a processing speed of 2.20 gigahertz . It comes with 4 gigabytes of DDR3 SDRAM , expandable up to 8. It has a display size of 15.6 inches with a 1366 x 768 resolution. The graphics chipset

378-467: A crystal black design. Models include Q210 (12.1"), Q310 (13.3"), R560 (15.4") and R710 (17"). In October 2008, Samsung announced its return to the United States and Canada laptop market, with the models being X360, X460, Q310, R610, and P460, and netbook NC1. In January 2011, the premium Samsung Sens 9 (known as Samsung Series 9 internationally) was introduced. It was remarkably sleek and thin, marking

441-464: A departure from Samsung's previous laptops. It gained attention and was very well received as a result. Samsung Series 5, a mid-ranger, was later introduced and an entry-level Series 3 too. Chromebook variants of the 3 and 5 were also made. In 2012 the second generation Samsung Notebook Series 9 was released. Samsung Series 9, Series 7 Chronos, Series 7 Ultra, and Series 5 Chronos were changed to Ativ Book 9, Ativ Book 8, Ativ Book 7, and Ativ Book 6 with

504-492: A half duplex FDD, that allows for a low cost implementation. Devices that provide connectivity to a WiMAX network are known as subscriber stations (SS). Portable units include handsets (similar to cellular smartphones ); PC peripherals (PC Cards or USB dongles); and embedded devices in laptops, which are now available for Wi-Fi services. In addition, there is much emphasis by operators on consumer electronics devices such as Gaming consoles, MP3 players and similar devices. WiMAX

567-564: A mix of 2.5 GHz, 3.3 GHz and other frequencies. Pakistan 's Wateen Telecom uses 3.5 GHz. Analog TV bands (700 MHz) may become available, but await the complete digital television transition , and other uses have been suggested for that spectrum. In the USA the FCC auction for this spectrum began in January 2008 and, as a result, the biggest share of the spectrum went to Verizon Wireless and

630-406: A more robust mode (burst profile) which means fewer bits per OFDM/SOFDMA symbol; with the advantage that power per bit is higher and therefore simpler accurate signal processing can be performed. Burst profiles are used inverse (algorithmically dynamic) to low signal attenuation; meaning throughput between clients and the base station is determined largely by distance. Maximum distance is achieved by

693-502: A much lower bitrate. Conversely, reducing the range (to under 1 km) allows a device to operate at higher bitrates. A citywide deployment of WiMAX in Perth , Australia demonstrated that customers at the cell-edge with an indoor Customer-premises equipment (CPE) typically obtain speeds of around 1–4 Mbit/s, with users closer to the cell site obtaining speeds of up to 30 Mbit/s. Wireless broadband Wireless broadband

756-640: A number of applications including broadband connections, cellular backhaul , hotspots , etc. It is similar to Long-range Wi-Fi , but it can enable usage at much greater distances. The scalable physical layer architecture that allows for data rate to scale easily with available channel bandwidth and range of WiMAX make it suitable for the following potential applications: WiMAX can provide at-home or mobile Internet access across whole cities or countries. In many cases, this has resulted in competition in markets which typically only had access through an existing incumbent DSL (or similar) operator. Additionally, given

819-435: A priority TDMA based protocol in order to divide communication into timeslots. This timeslot technique eliminates many of the issues common to 802.11 Wi-Fi protocol in outdoor networks such as the hidden node problem . Few wireless Internet service providers (WISPs) provide download speeds of over 100 Mbit/s; most broadband wireless access (BWA) services are estimated to have a range of 50 km (31 mi) from

882-407: A small dish to the roof of their home or office and point it to the transmitter. Line of sight is usually necessary for WISPs operating in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands with 900 MHz offering better NLOS (non-line-of-sight) performance. Providers of fixed wireless broadband services typically provide equipment to customers and install a small antenna or dish somewhere on the roof. This equipment

945-421: A springboard past its competitors. The cable companies were expected to provide media services to other partners while gaining access to the wireless network as a Mobile virtual network operator to provide triple-play services. Some wireless industry analysts, such as Ken Dulaney and Todd Kort at Gartner, were skeptical how the deal would work out: Although fixed-mobile convergence had been a recognized factor in

1008-449: A tower. Technologies used include Local Multipoint Distribution Service (LMDS) and Multichannel Multipoint Distribution Service (MMDS), as well as heavy use of the industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) radio bands and one particular access technology was standardized by IEEE 802.16 , with products known as WiMAX . WiMAX is highly popular in Europe but has not been fully accepted in

1071-614: Is a telecommunications technology that provides high-speed wireless Internet access or computer networking access over a wide area. The term encompasses both fixed and mobile broadband . Originally the word " broadband " had a technical meaning, but became a marketing term for any kind of relatively high-speed computer network or Internet access technology. According to the 802.16-2004 standard, broadband means "having instantaneous bandwidths greater than 1 MHz and supporting data rates greater than about 1.5 Mbit /s." The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently re-defined

1134-414: Is a difficulty getting affordable Ethernet connections from terrestrial providers such as ATT, Comcast, Verizon and others. Also, companies looking for full diversity between carriers for critical uptime requirements may seek wireless alternatives to local options. To cope with increased demand for wireless broadband, increased spectrum would be needed. Studies began in 2009, and while some unused spectrum

1197-435: Is also considered as a wireless backhaul technology for 2G , 3G , and 4G networks in both developed and developing nations. In North America, backhaul for urban operations is typically provided via one or more copper wire line connections, whereas remote cellular operations are sometimes backhauled via satellite. In other regions, urban and rural backhaul is usually provided by microwave links . (The exception to this

1260-416: Is an Intel HD Graphics 3000, has a built-in 1.3MP HD webcam, a wireless LAN of 802.11 a/b/g/n, is Bluetooth 3.0 compatible, and has VGA , HDMI , and three USB ports. It has a built-in track point mouse. The last Notebook 3 was released in 2018 in 14 and 15 inch variants and running on 8th generation Intel Core processors. Introduced at CES 2019, Samsung Notebook Flash is a budget-oriented laptop with

1323-406: Is done automatically then the practical deployment should avoid high interference and multipath environments. The reason for which is obviously that too much interference causes the network to function poorly and can also misrepresent the capability of the network. The system is complex to deploy as it is necessary to track not only the signal strength and CINR (as in systems like GSM ) but also how

1386-607: Is more similar to Wi-Fi than to other 3G cellular technologies. The WiMAX Forum website provides a list of certified devices. However, this is not a complete list of devices available as certified modules are embedded into laptops, MIDs ( Mobile Internet devices ), and other private labeled devices. WiMAX gateway devices are available as both indoor and outdoor versions from manufacturers including Vecima Networks , Alvarion , Airspan , ZyXEL , Huawei , and Motorola . The list of WiMAX networks and WiMAX Forum provide more links to specific vendors, products and installations. Many of

1449-450: Is to move to the later standard (e.g., Fixed WiMAX to Mobile WiMAX). The original version of the standard on which WiMAX is based ( IEEE 802.16 ) specified a physical layer operating in the 10 to 66 GHz range. 802.16a, updated in 2004 to 802.16-2004, added specifications for the 2 to 11 GHz range. 802.16-2004 was updated by 802.16e-2005 in 2005 and uses scalable orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (SOFDMA), as opposed to

1512-515: Is usually deployed as a service and maintained by the company providing that service. Fixed wireless services have become particularly popular in many rural areas where cable, DSL or other typical home internet services are not available. Many companies in the US and worldwide have started using wireless alternatives to incumbent and local providers for internet and voice service. These providers tend to offer competitive services and options in areas where there

1575-502: Is where the network is operated by an incumbent with ready access to the copper network.) WiMAX has more substantial backhaul bandwidth requirements than legacy cellular applications. Consequently, the use of wireless microwave backhaul is on the rise in North America and existing microwave backhaul links in all regions are being upgraded. Capacities of between 34 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s are routinely being deployed with latencies in

1638-567: The IEEE 802.16 family of wireless-networks standards ratified by the WiMAX Forum. (Similarly, Wi-Fi refers to interoperable implementations of the IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN standards certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance .) WiMAX Forum certification allows vendors to sell fixed or mobile products as WiMAX certified, thus ensuring a level of interoperability with other certified products, as long as they fit

1701-531: The FCC Part-15 Rules. The Wireless Internet Service Providers Association, a national association of WISPs, petitioned the FCC and won. Initially, WISPs were found only in rural areas not covered by cable or DSL . These early WISPs would employ a high-capacity T-carrier , such as a T1 or DS3 connection, and then broadcast the signal from a high elevation, such as at the top of a water tower . To receive this type of Internet connection, consumers mount

1764-521: The IMT-2000 set of standards. This enables spectrum owners (specifically in the 2.5–2.69 GHz band at this stage) to use WiMAX equipment in any country that recognizes the IMT-2000. WiMAX cannot deliver 70  Mbit/s over 50 km (31 mi). Like all wireless technologies, WiMAX can operate at higher bitrates or over longer distances but not both. Operating at the maximum range of 50 km (31 mi) increases bit error rate and thus results in

1827-550: The North American region in terms of 4G broadband wireless subscribers. There were around 1.7 million pre-WiMAX and WiMAX customers in Asia – 29% of the overall market – compared to 1.4 million in the US and Canada. The WiMAX Forum has proposed an architecture that defines how a WiMAX network can be connected with an IP based core network, which is typically chosen by operators that serve as Internet Service Providers (ISP); Nevertheless,

1890-473: The RF signal travels through. Modulation is chosen to be more spectrally efficient (more bits per OFDM / SOFDMA symbol). That is, when the bursts have a high signal strength and a high carrier to noise plus interference ratio (CINR), they can be more easily decoded using digital signal processing (DSP). In contrast, operating in less favorable environments for RF communication, the system automatically steps down to

1953-509: The United States because cost of deployment. In 2005 the Federal Communications Commission adopted a Report and Order that revised the FCC's rules to open the 3650 MHz band for terrestrial wireless broadband operations. Another system that is popular with cable internet service providers uses point-to-multipoint wireless links that extend the existing wired network using a transparent radio connection. This allows

2016-465: The WiMAX BS provide seamless integration capabilities with other types of architectures as with packet switched Mobile Networks. The WiMAX forum proposal defines a number of components, plus some of the interconnections (or reference points) between these, labeled R1 to R5 and R8: The functional architecture can be designed into various hardware configurations rather than fixed configurations. For example,

2079-551: The WiMAX Forum published three licensed spectrum profiles: 2.3 GHz, 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz, in an effort to drive standardisation and decrease cost. In the US, the biggest segment available was around 2.5 GHz, and is already assigned, primarily to Sprint Nextel and Clearwire . Elsewhere in the world, the most-likely bands used will be the Forum approved ones, with 2.3 GHz probably being most important in Asia. Some countries in Asia like India and Indonesia will use

2142-462: The WiMAX gateways that are offered by manufactures such as these are stand-alone self-install indoor units. Such devices typically sit near the customer's window with the best signal, and provide: Indoor gateways are convenient, but radio losses mean that the subscriber may need to be significantly closer to the WiMAX base station than with professionally installed external units. Outdoor units are roughly

2205-410: The WiMAX standard rather than being added on as carrier Ethernet is to Ethernet . On May 7, 2008, in the United States, Sprint Nextel , Google , Intel , Comcast , Bright House , and Time Warner announced a pooling of an average of 120 MHz of spectrum and merged with Clearwire to market the service. The new company hoped to benefit from combined services offerings and network resources as

2268-744: The WiMAX technology due to financial circumstances, instead, along with its network partner Clearwire , Sprint Nextel rolled out a 4G network having decided to shift and utilize LTE 4G technology instead. WiMAX is based upon IEEE 802.16e-2005 , approved in December 2005. It is a supplement to the IEEE Std 802.16-2004, and so the actual standard is 802.16-2004 as amended by 802.16e-2005. Thus, these specifications need to be considered together. IEEE 802.16e-2005 improves upon IEEE 802.16-2004 by: SOFDMA (used in 802.16e-2005) and OFDM256 (802.16d) are not compatible thus equipment will have to be replaced if an operator

2331-401: The architecture is flexible enough to allow remote/mobile stations of varying scale and functionality and Base Stations of varying size – e.g. femto, pico, and mini BS as well as macros. WiMAX 2.1 and above can be integrated with a LTE TDD network and perform handovers from/to LTE TDD. WiMAX 3 expands the integration to 5G NR . There is no uniform global licensed spectrum for WiMAX, however

2394-424: The available frequencies will be dynamically assigned (resulting in dynamic changes to the available bandwidth.) This could lead to cluttered frequencies with slow response times or lost frames. As a result, the system has to be initially designed in consensus with the base station product team to accurately project frequency use, interference, and general product functionality. The Asia-Pacific region has surpassed

2457-521: The change to ATIV branding. The Ativ name was abandoned in the domestic market in 2014 and overseas in 2016, with rebranding to Samsung Notebook. Samsung Notebook 9 was introduced in 2016. There were further new Notebook 9 updates released in the following years. In June 2016, the Samsung Notebook 7 Spin was announced. In 2018 there were new Notebook 5 and Notebook 3 models. 2019 saw the introduction of Samsung Notebook Flash. The Sens E3520 features

2520-612: The first ultra mobile PC , the Samsung Q1 . It had a 7 inch touchscreen and equipped with features such as WLAN, DMB and navigation. Its second generation was then launched based on Intel Ultra Mobile Platform. In 2007, Samsung created a 19 inch desktop-sized laptop, the Sens G25. For the export market, Samsung Electronics only sold laptops to a number of Western European countries as well as Russia and Ukraine, before expanding. In July 2008 Samsung introduced laptops with Intel Centrino 2 with

2583-830: The first WiMAX enabled mobile phone , the Max 4G , on November 12, 2008. The device was only available to certain markets in Russia on the Yota network until 2010. HTC and Sprint Nextel released the second WiMAX enabled mobile phone, the HTC Evo 4G , March 23, 2010 at the CTIA conference in Las Vegas. The device, made available on June 4, 2010, is capable of both EV-DO(3G) and WiMAX(pre-4G) as well as simultaneous data & voice sessions. Sprint Nextel announced at CES 2012 that it will no longer be offering devices using

2646-463: The first wireless Internet provider in the US to announce plans to charge according to usage. As the only iPhone service in the United States, AT&T experienced the problem of heavy Internet use more than other providers. About 3 percent of AT&T smart phone customers account for 40 percent of the technology's use. 98 percent of the company's customers use less than 2 gigabytes (4000 page views, 10,000 emails or 200 minutes of streaming video ),

2709-474: The fixed orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) version with 256 sub-carriers (of which 200 are used) in 802.16d. More advanced versions, including 802.16e, also bring multiple antenna support through MIMO . (See WiMAX MIMO ) This brings potential benefits in terms of coverage, self installation, power consumption, frequency re-use and bandwidth efficiency. WiMax is the most energy-efficient pre-4G technique among LTE and HSPA+ . The WiMAX MAC uses

2772-440: The industry, prior attempts to form partnerships among wireless and cable companies had generally failed to lead to significant benefits for the participants. Other analysts at IDC favored the deal, pointing out that as wireless progresses to higher bandwidth, it inevitably competes more directly with cable, DSL and fiber, inspiring competitors into collaboration. Also, as wireless broadband networks grow denser and usage habits shift,

2835-416: The limit under the $ 25 monthly plan, and 65 percent use less than 200 megabytes , the limit for the $ 15 plan. For each gigabyte in excess of the limit, customers would be charged $ 10 a month starting June 7, 2010, though existing customers would not be required to change from the $ 30 a month unlimited service plan. The new plan would become a requirement for those upgrading to the new iPhone technology later in

2898-600: The mobile profiles are TDD only. The fixed profiles have channel sizes of 3.5 MHz, 5 MHz, 7 MHz and 10 MHz. The mobile profiles are 5 MHz, 8.75 MHz and 10 MHz. (Note: the 802.16 standard allows a far wider variety of channels, but only the above subsets are supported as WiMAX profiles.) Since October 2007, the Radio communication Sector of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-R) has decided to include WiMAX technology in

2961-667: The need for increased backhaul and media services accelerate, therefore the opportunity to leverage high bandwidth assets was expected to increase. The Aeronautical Mobile Airport Communication System (AeroMACS) is a wireless broadband network for the airport surface intended to link the control tower, aircraft, and fixed assets. In 2007, AeroMACS obtained a worldwide frequency allocation in the 5 GHz aviation band. As of 2018, there were 25 AeroMACS deployments in 8 countries, with at least another 25 deployments planned. IEEE 802.16REVd and IEEE 802.16e standards support both time-division duplexing and frequency-division duplexing as well as

3024-496: The next biggest to AT&T. Both of these companies stated their intention of supporting LTE , a technology which competes directly with WiMAX. EU commissioner Viviane Reding has suggested re-allocation of 500–800 MHz spectrum for wireless communication, including WiMAX. WiMAX profiles define channel size, TDD/FDD and other necessary attributes in order to have interoperating products. The current fixed profiles are defined for both TDD and FDD profiles. At this point, all of

3087-447: The order of 1 ms. In many cases, operators are aggregating sites using wireless technology and then presenting traffic on to fiber networks where convenient. WiMAX in this application competes with microwave radio , E-line and simple extension of the fiber network itself. WiMAX directly supports the technologies that make triple-play service offerings possible (such as quality of service and multicast ). These are inherent to

3150-399: The relatively low costs associated with the deployment of a WiMAX network (in comparison with 3G , HSDPA , xDSL , HFC or FTTx ), it is now economically viable to provide last-mile broadband Internet access in remote locations. Mobile WiMAX was a replacement candidate for cellular phone technologies such as GSM and CDMA , or can be used as an overlay to increase capacity. Fixed WiMAX

3213-616: The same DOCSIS modems to be used for both wired and wireless customers. On November 14, 2007, the Commission released Public Notice DA 07–4605 in which the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau announced the start date for licensing and registration process for the 3650–3700 MHz band. In 2010 the FCC adopted the TV White Space Rules (TVWS) and allowed some of the better no line of sight frequency (700 MHz) into

3276-472: The same profile. The original IEEE 802.16 standard (now called "Fixed WiMAX") was published in 2001. WiMAX adopted some of its technology from WiBro , a service marketed in Korea. Mobile WiMAX (originally based on 802.16e-2005) is the revision that was deployed in many countries and is the basis for future revisions such as 802.16m-2011. WiMAX was sometimes referred to as "Wi-Fi on steroids" and can be used for

3339-423: The scheduling algorithm can also be more bandwidth efficient. The scheduling algorithm also allows the base station to control QoS parameters by balancing the time-slot assignments among the application needs of the subscriber station. As a standard intended to satisfy needs of next-generation data networks ( 4G ), WiMAX is distinguished by its dynamic burst algorithm modulation adaptive to the physical environment

3402-606: The size of a laptop PC, and their installation is comparable to the installation of a residential satellite dish . A higher- gain directional outdoor unit will generally result in greatly increased range and throughput but with the obvious loss of practical mobility of the unit. USB can provide connectivity to a WiMAX network through a dongle . Generally these devices are connected to a notebook or net book computer. Dongles typically have omnidirectional antennas which are of lower gain compared to other devices. As such these devices are best used in areas of good coverage. HTC announced

3465-644: The spectrum, Tier 3 – General Authorized Access (GAA), a shared spectrum. In other countries, spectrum is licensed from the country's national radio communications authority (such as the ACMA in Australia or Nigerian Communications Commission in Nigeria (NCC)). Licensing is usually expensive and often reserved for large companies who wish to guarantee private access to spectrum for use in point to point communication. Because of this, most wireless ISP's use unlicensed spectrum which

3528-426: The summer. A wireless connection can be either licensed or unlicensed. In the US, licensed connections use a private spectrum the user has secured rights to from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The unlicensed mobile wireless broadband, in US operates on CBRS Which has three tiers. Tier 1 – Incumbent Access, reserved for US Federals Government, Tier 2 – Priority Access, a paid access with priority on

3591-458: The use of the most robust burst setting; that is, the profile with the largest MAC frame allocation trade-off requiring more symbols (a larger portion of the MAC frame) to be allocated in transmitting a given amount of data than if the client were closer to the base station. The client's MAC frame and their individual burst profiles are defined as well as the specific time allocation. However, even if this

3654-623: The word to mean download speeds of at least 25 Mbit /s and upload speeds of at least 3 Mbit /s. A wireless broadband network is an outdoor fixed and/or mobile wireless network providing point-to-multipoint or point-to-point terrestrial wireless links for broadband services. Wireless networks can feature data rates exceeding 1 Gbit/s. Many fixed wireless networks are exclusively half-duplex (HDX) , however, some licensed and unlicensed systems can also operate at full-duplex (FDX) allowing communication in both directions simultaneously. Outdoor fixed wireless broadband networks commonly use

3717-571: Was announced in December 2020 and features a dot matrix keyboard, HDD expansion, and either Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti or MX450 graphics. As of 2010 and beginning 2011, the RF line sat at the top of the range with the RF710 and RF510 models. WiMAX Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access ( WiMAX ) is a family of wireless broadband communication standards based on the IEEE 802.16 set of standards, which provide physical layer (PHY) and media access control (MAC) options. The WiMAX Forum

3780-453: Was available, it appeared broadcasters would have to give up at least some spectrum. This led to strong objections from the broadcasting community. In 2013, auctions were planned, and for now any action by broadcasters is voluntary. In the United States, mobile broadband technologies include services from providers such as Verizon , AT&T Mobility , and T-Mobile which allow a more mobile version of Internet access. Consumers can purchase

3843-525: Was formed in June 2001 to promote conformity and interoperability, including the definition of system profiles for commercial vendors. The forum describes WiMAX as "a standards-based technology enabling the delivery of last mile wireless broadband access as an alternative to cable and DSL ". IEEE 802.16m or WirelessMAN-Advanced was a candidate for 4G , in competition with the LTE Advanced standard. WiMAX

3906-509: Was initially designed to provide 30 to 40 megabit-per-second data rates, with the 2011 update providing up to 1 Gbit/s for fixed stations. WiMAX release 2.1, popularly branded as WiMAX 2+ , is a backwards-compatible transition from previous WiMAX generations. It is compatible and interoperable with TD-LTE . Newer versions, still backward compatible, include WiMAX release 2.2 (2014) and WiMAX release 3 (2021, adds interoperation with 5G NR ). WiMAX refers to interoperable implementations of

3969-749: Was the X10. A large 17-inch screen model called M40 was released. The X20, X25 and X50 series were released with Intel Sonoma. Another 17 inch laptop, M70, was launched in 2005 featuring a high end graphics chip from Nvidia and a resolution of 1680 x 1050. Its screen could also be used separately. It weighed 5 kg. In 2006, the Sens Q35 was the first notebook PC with WiMAX . It was sold in South Korea and Russia. According to Gartner research, Samsung laptop sales amounted to 1.5 million units in 2007. Sales grew 77% in 2008, 116% in 2009 and 78% in 2010. In 2007 Samsung launched
