The Morača Monastery ( Serbian : Манастир Морача , romanized :  Manastir Morača ) is a Serbian Orthodox monastery located in the valley of the Morača River in Kolašin , central Montenegro . It was founded in 1252 by Stefan Vukanović , of the Serbian Nemanjić dynasty . It is one of the best known medieval monuments of Montenegro.
