Härnösand ( Swedish pronunciation: [hæɳøˈsanːd] ) is a locality and the seat of Härnösand Municipality in Västernorrland County , Sweden with 25,012 inhabitants in 2023. It is called "the gate to the High Coast " because of the world heritage landscape just a few miles north of Härnösand.
